THE NEW WINE 3

 Lord Jesus, thank you for your word I'm about to read today. 

I receive boldness to share the wine you have given me.

 May I not be static river in Jesus name. 

Amen.



Dear Believer,

Last week, I asked a question about why you think the wedding host didn't buy wine when it had finished and they had to seek Jesus.

A friend sent me a video about the history of the Galilean wedding and I found the answer in there.


Once the wedding feast starts according to the Galilean culture, no one goes out until the ceremony is over. This is to lock out uninvited people and keep record of those who're in. 

This explains why the welfare team had to panic when they ran out of wine. Thank God for Mary, who had Jesus in the building.

The wine running out in the Galilean wedding also signifies something very important. 


I want to believe that everyone who is reading has contact with the new wine (Jesus) already. You should read my last week's post if you're wondering how Jesus is the new wine.


The physical wine may run out, but trust me, brothers and sisters, the new wine hasn't,doesn't, and will never run out. Hebrews 13:8


John 15:1-5 talks about the vine (Jesus) which produces the new wine, the vine dresser (God the Father) who tends the vine and the vine branches (you and I) - the saved ones. 


The make-up of a tree is such that it needs the vinedresser to tend it and the branches to bear more fruits for wine to be made.

It is necessary for the vine to always produce fruits (Luke 13:6-9) and the branches bear these fruits. 


Jesus (the vine & new wine) who turned water to wine at the Cana wedding is now seated with the Father, but he now has branches capable of producing new wine on the Earth - you and I. 


So, this means because Jesus is in you, you can produce the new wine, too. Gloryyy. 🥳🥳🥳


From the wedding scenario, we know that men love to drink water, juice, alcohol, wine etc, hence, the wine finished. It also calls for how much revenue the industries catering for this need make annually in our world today.


Men love to drink, but will never get satisfied so, they will drink more.


I'll say it again. As a carrier of the new wine (Jesus), you can produce new wine, too.

This is why the Bible says out of your belly, rivers of living water (Jesus, the new wine) shall flow, men shall drink from it and taste the new wine. John 7:38


Dear Believer, you have what men can drink. You have a river - a river of new wine. Let it flow. 

You are a carrier of the new wine. Don't hoard it. Let it flow.


You should not have a drunkard in your neighborhood when you can give him the new wine. 


You should not get somewhere and people don't have what to drink. Give them this wine.


Anywhere you see a thirsty man or a man that's drinking nonsense, your responsibility as a believer is to offer Him the new wine.


Dear Believer, 

You're a business man and Jesus is the product you sell. 

He put in you a river and it is selfish to refuse to let it flow. 

Serve men this new wine - you cannot exhaust this river. Do business with Jesus the new wine and make profits everyday. Selah.


Suggested activity: Give help to your neighbor, share a word of encouragement, help to explain the Word, tell someone Jesus loves him, preach to someone etc. These are ways you can share the new wine.

Share the new wine with men this week. Don't let anyone go from you without taking a cup or getting drunk with the new wine.

TEMPTATION AND THE WORD

"It is easier said than done". This statement is true, but I believe it is incomplete.  As a believer, there are some things that apply to the whole world that you're exempted from. To do things may be easier said than done, but for you, the believer, there is grace, even much grace available to do them. You and I receive it in Jesus name. Whether you believe it or not, there is grace available for you to stand up to the devil, in boldness, and use the Word instead of crying or getting depressed.  Yes, I know it may seem easier to say "use the Word", when the devil is telling you a lie about that job you're seeking, that grade you are reading so hard for, that person who said he/she will help you, that child that's proving wayward or any situation you may be in, as opposed to using the Word when you really need to use it.  But as believers, it's time we understood that only the Word and truth in the Word can make us free. The story of water turning into wine. Very common story! You probably have never heard it this way before. Enjoy! The Wedding at Cana of Galilee is one of the Bible stories that intrigues me a lot. One reason I love this Bible story is because Jesus was there at the venue to save them from a huge embarrassment. Secondly, a rare miracle happened at the wedding.
