THE NEW WINE PT4
Lord, thank you for the privilege of sonship and daughtership.
Thank you for the privilege to share your Word to this believer who is reading.
Bless us and expound your Word in our hearts today. Amen. ❤️
Last week, we talked about how you're a branch of the vine and how your responsibility is to produce fruits and serve men the new wine.
I think there's a need to share how the wine is made because many believers find it difficult to share (Jesus) the new wine with people even after taking a portion of it (after receiving salvation).
I did a short study on the winemaking process and made an interesting discovery that will bless you.
This is quite an interesting study. Wine goes through these 5 processes: harvesting, crushing and pressing, fermenting, clarifying, aging and bottling. Then, it is available in stores for purchase.
From the stage of drinking the new wine at salvation to being able to serve the new wine, you must go through these processes, too.
When you newly accept the gift of salvation, you take a cup of the new wine. And if you have a cup of wine, you probably cannot share because it is barely enough to satisfy you.
At salvation, your branch is cut off from the devil and is harvested into the kingdom basket through Faith. Romans 10:9-10, 2 Corinthians 5:17
The vinedresser (God the Father) goes on to graft your branch into the vine (Jesus) so that you can be attached to sweetness. Romans 11:17, Romans 11:24
The vine (Jesus) crushes and presses out whatever taste of wildness that is left in you. He begins to clear your mind of the lies the devil has once told you when you read the scriptures. Romans 12:2 This is the most important stage.
In the fermenting stage, you begin to know and love God more and enter into a deep fellowship with Him. You enjoy fellowship so much that you don't want to leave. Psalm 42:1-2
In the clarifying stage, new wine is being made in you through sanctification (a gradual process). The vine (Jesus) works in and through you and gradually extracts ungodly roots in you and shows you Him expressly. Here, you drop weights and begin to take on virtues.
The aging and bottling stage is the most interesting stage. This is the reason the grape is harvested in the first place - to package and sell.
Jesus presents you a branch capable of bearing fruits. A vessel that can produce the new wine.
Only when you pass through these stages can you share and people will taste the new wine. Jumping any of these stages as a new/standing believer will lead to error and you'll share something else.
Probably you're thinking there are several other persons already serving the new wine, there are several other persons telling the truth about Jesus and you just want to focus on making Heaven and live as a gentle Christian.
There are more people who need to be served the new wine. Freely you have received, freely give it out Matthew 10:8
Dear Believer, you're grafted into the vine to serve others the new wine Mark 16:15.
You don't want to be a fruitless branch. A branch must always bear fruits, period. John 15:2
This week again, please, share the new wine with people. Hold conversations that lead to Jesus. Engage in activities that point to Jesus. Serve men the new wine this week.
Closing prayer:
Lord Jesus, I ask that you present me as one worthy to share the new wine. This week, Lord, please enable me to share you with others. Break every wall restrictions and let those I offer accept it.
May my branch yield more fruits for you in Jesus name. Amen.
