It's very easy to envy and desire what's wrong especially when things are not working for you.
Instead of labeling those thoughts as evil, your heart begins to review and justify them.
Questions begin to pop up within you. This is a major vulnerable stage for the believer.
Many times, as believers, we have labeled God as partial especially in things relating to the rich and the poor, the believer and the unbeliever.
It's dumbfounding how good things go well for disobedient and evil people but it feels like we are stupid to have stayed obedient.
It surprises me too, even though I have tried to manage the thought of it and console myself.
We try to figure why things work in a particular way but we get more confused.
When they say there is nothing new under the sun, it is really true.
David was more confused in Psalm 73:1-14 but he got clarity at the end of the chapter.
I'm sure he must have been offended as a shepherd boy. He must have seen how the evil prospered and the righteous suffered.
What did he do to get clarity?
He went back to the basis.
Instead of complaining and eventually moving out of track or even disbelieving God, he decided to go back to God and engage Him in a dialogue.
That was when his eyes were opened to understand. There are some situations or happenings that the five senses cannot demystify.
Clarity is only opened up when we go back to the basis; the Word and the foundation of the world Himself.
God is always good and will forever be good to you His beloved.
Know this and know Peace!
As believers, we have an edge over everyone when it seems like things are turning upside down in our worlds.
We have the access to approach God and ask him questions; not to pose a challenge but to understand.
When we don't ask questions, we can't know why and that's why we feel cheated as believers when things seem unfair.
When we draw near to God in moments of desolation and confusion, He draws near us by opening our eyes to see.
Dear Believer, whenever you are unclear about something, learn to always go back to the basis; God. Shalom
Suggested scripture: Psalm 73
