TIME - LWY EP 8

There's a start and finish of everything. After starting, should you be doing anything or patiently wait for the results?
This episode explains what next should happen after starting or sowing.

 Planting is not easy.

 First, there's always a particular season to plant.

 Second, they are different things to put in place before you plant. 


There are also activities even after planting till the plant crops are harvested.


After you plant maize for example, you have to supply, thin, weed, manure and do plenty of things.


You won't just leave after planting only to come back - to harvest what?


 Dear Believer, I'm sure you know there's time for everything. In case you don't know, please, read Eccl. 3:1-8.


From 0:00 to 24:00, we call it 'a day.' What we do between these hours is what counts as time; nothing else. Not even saying "my day was great, ...etc."


Time is the measure of your productivity in doing a task; the start and the finish - LWY


So, even when you wait for the results of anything, you shouldn't be idle as a believer. There's something that you should be doing before the results come.


There is a landmark to start and another to finish, you should not be idle waiting for the finish. What you do in this period is the time spent.


The servant who was idle with his talent got no reward but punishments, [Matt. 5:24-25].


The men who planted in Matt. 13:24-25 slept off. They sowed and went to relax either because they were ignorant of the next step or just lazy. 


They felt work had finished after planting and got their farm infected with tares.


Dear Believer, there's something you have to do even before the results of what you have sown comes.


Is it sitting with the Word and building capacity? Is it being engrossed in service to God? Whatever it may be, find it (through the help of the Holy Spirit) and do it. 


Just don't be idle while waiting for the results to show. Selah

    Kai!!! I'm blessed. There's active waiting and passive waiting. So while waiting, we should equip ourselves with the thought of the father in His word. Thank you 'Layomi, this is timely.

TEMPTATION AND THE WORD

"It is easier said than done". This statement is true, but I believe it is incomplete.  As a believer, there are some things that apply to the whole world that you're exempted from. To do things may be easier said than done, but for you, the believer, there is grace, even much grace available to do them. You and I receive it in Jesus name. Whether you believe it or not, there is grace available for you to stand up to the devil, in boldness, and use the Word instead of crying or getting depressed.  Yes, I know it may seem easier to say "use the Word", when the devil is telling you a lie about that job you're seeking, that grade you are reading so hard for, that person who said he/she will help you, that child that's proving wayward or any situation you may be in, as opposed to using the Word when you really need to use it.  But as believers, it's time we understood that only the Word and truth in the Word can make us free.  Lord Jesus, thank you for your word I'm about to read today.  I receive boldness to share the wine you have given me.  May I not be static river in Jesus name.  Amen. Dear Believer, Last week, I asked a question about why you think the wedding host didn't buy wine when it had finished and they had to seek Jesus. A friend sent me a video about the history of the Galilean wedding and I found the answer in there. Once the wedding feast starts according to the Galilean culture, no one goes out until the ceremony is over. This is to lock out uninvited people and keep record of those who're in.  This explains why the welfare team had to panic when they ran out of wine.
