PRINCESS LWY EP 3

Have you ever seen a princess? Have you ever noticed how they walk, eat and behave?

I have seen one in my hen. How can you walk in this light as a believer?

Find out in this blog post of Chicken Episode 3 - Princess.

We once had this beautiful, light brown feathered female hen. It had beautiful feather color combinations.

I must be very honest with you, this hen was really beautiful. We gave her the name Princess.

She was named Princess because of two reasons.

1. She was a beautiful young chicken, well, her mother was. All hail Gregor Mendel for his great discovery on genetics.

2. She didn't just look like a princess: she acted, walked and ate like one.

She was a princess indeed. I remember that anytime Mr X fed the other chickens, this particular one won't eat with them.

She would wait till all the other chickens had gone away and fly into Mr X's arms eating from the plate in his hands.

Mr X would gladly anticipate her everyday. Ever since she could fly up to Mr X's shoulders, I don't think there was a day she ate from the floor even if there were enough grains there.

This hen was amazing. She behaved like a human.

You dare not chase her to eat with others. She only ate in her owner's arms.

She knew her onions, and she ate her suya well.

How beautiful will it be if we believers know our onions and look forward to making suya with it?

How heavenly will it be if we believers know who we are in God and live in this reality?

Many of us say these verses often "I am seated with God in heavenly places", "my name is engraved in the hollow of His hands" and many other reassuring portions of the scripture. Beautiful!

We recite these verses by mouth but we don't actually live the reality of the truth in it.

As a believer, you're an heir, a priest, a joint-heir with Christ. [Rom. 8:17a] Why should you still behave like a bond servant?

Princess never minded her weight in her owner's arms.

But, it is only a believer that would feel his/her burdens would be too heavy for God to carry. [1Pet. 5:7, Matt 11:28-30]

God expects you, us as Sons to come to him freely and pour our worries, praises, good and bad times, and everything on him but we want to help God by sparing Him all the details.

If you don't know the value of the badge of sonship that you have collected, you will never get the best of God because you will always cheat yourself. [Rom. 8:15]

As a believer, you have authority. You have a special place in the heart of your father. You are attended to as a VVIP even before any random person.

Princess was confident and intentional about being treated specially and trust me, she got all the attention. She earned everyone's respect.

You too can, if only you know your place in God.

Another interesting thing to note was that Princess always flew into Mr X's arms to eat.

As a believer, our Father's arms is the secret place.

And what do we go to do there?

To feed on the Word and feel the Father's warmth, love and touch.

That's the only place we get to relate with the Father as babies regardless of our ages.

That's the only place we get to soak ourselves deep and experience the new dimensions of God that we envy in men.

That's the only place we get first-hand revelation of what God wants to do per time through us and through men.

But do we really eat from God's arms?

Oh no! We don't. We wish and want and we can never have it.

Why?

We are not ready to commit. So many things are stopping us. Our fears, our thoughts, our friends, our beliefs.

Many of us even take turns to gossip about the people whom God is evident in their lives, yet, we're not ready to go all in and receive the Grace through which they operate.

We prefer to eat from what the Pastor says on the altar to the whole congregation than feed directly from the secret place.

We prefer to jump from pillar to post asking prophets to help us rather than stay with the Word ourselves.

From the time Princess could fly, the arms of her owner became her eating spot.

It took strength each time for Princess to fly up there to eat.

It takes perseverance to patiently wait on God to get revelations from the secret place. [1Sam.2:9b]

But those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 BSB

Isaiah 40:31 says if we wait upon the Lord, we will get strength to perform miracles, strength to heal, strength to study, strength to pray, strength to do many things we can't do ordinarily.

But when the church declares a fast as a medium to wait upon God, believers are the very ones whose voices are the loudest in complaints about how long the fast is.

We're the very ones who discourage people from fasting by confidently saying " Wo jere, God understands if I don't do this and that".

Princess would fly into Mr X's arms and eat there for more than 5 minutes.

Did it cross your mind to imagine this scene? Please, do. What if she fell off? What if she was tired of standing?

Oh no, she can't. The arms of her owner were just sufficient to hold her.

God is never too busy to host you in the secret place. He's never too tired to carry you.

However, the sad thing is that many of us can't wait in the secret place for 1 hour, yet we want to be God's special son or daughter receiving accolades and having followers who say "Papa, Daddy, Mama" and all. For what revelation?

Princess didn't just get the strength to fly up that high. She had to wait and grow till she had that strength and capacity.

Waiting is to gain momentum. Waiting is the cooking place of capacity and strength for everything you'll ever need.

To wait is in fasting, praying, meditating on the word, fellowshipping with the brethren and many other things.

L'akótán (In summary), dear believer, you're a son and a daughter. Behave like one, act like one, talk like one, eat like one and do all things like a son and a daughter of the kingdom.

Stop depending solely on what your pastor or one mentor says, fly into God's arms and get the undiluted revelation.

There's strength to fly, but you have to wait. Don't run when you should wait. Soak yourself deep in the Secret place till you grow enough to fly.

That's the only way you can live a victorious christian life.

Till next time that I write to you, be a kingdom prince and princess indeed.

  1. "To wait is in fasting, praying, meditating on the word, fellowshipping with the brethren and many other things". That the point, people are not willing to wait not knowing that u can't run faster than your shadow

  3. Hmm... What courage Princess must have taken
She was indeed walking in confidence
God has, after all, not given us the spirit of fear!
This reminds me of Jamie Grace's song "Daughter of the King".

    1. Yesss, that's right.

God has not given us the spirit of fear. We're sons and daughters and should live in that reality.

Thank you for sharing this song. I'll add it to my album.
