TND: NIGHT TIME FALL

Dear Believer, 

Kindly accept my warm greetings this July. It's a month your sorrow turns to great Joy. A month of the new dawn.

TND* - The New Dawn

Debbie woke up to study the Word. It was a dark night. There was darkness everywhere; only a small beam of light came from the torchlight she held.

Even the moon didn't shine brightly this day. It seemed as though everything had come to a stand-still. The breeze, even the crickets and frogs were silent. It was all strange. 

The silence and darkness screamed 'sleep' but, she had to study.

If you have ever stayed awake during the midnight, you know it's characterized by darkness and silence.

It is that period when everyone is just by themselves. There is little or no chit-chatting, no serious business going on anywhere. 

It is even more serious because there is little or no motivation at this time of the day. It's just you trying to stay awake to do stuff or going for the other option - sleep. 

Many times, one may quickly anticipate the day because the night feels dead.

The night time experience comes with an ominous silence and may suggest that there has been a dawn before, Psalm 30:1-5.

As believers, we may find ourselves in this stage at one point or the other where we feel so much darkness around us that we may be able to smell it. We can't see it with our eyes but somehow, it may feel very tangible. 

That moment everything just seems tiring and there is no spark in our Word and Prayer life. 

That butterfly-in-the-belly feeling when you sing praises to God is no longer there. You know very well that something is wrong but you can't place it nor do you have the strength to stand up to it. 

The night time experience may not be even spiritual at all. It may be darkness/sorrow in any area - marital, social, mental, financial etc. 

The night time fall is the core experience of the unsaved (the unbeliever) - rising and falling, confusion, darkness, sorrow etc. 

If you're not saved, you're in the dark and it hovers over you. If you don't believe me, you may need to chat with the prodigal son and ask him. Luke 15:11-32.

Well, I have good news for you. It's about time for a new dawn. The day is breaking and life is coming along with it. 

As the creation story highlights the dispersion of gloom and darkness with light commanded by God, a new dawn of light and life is coming forth.

It is going to be a great experience this month because God will be taking us on a journey in the next few weeks.

I implore that you read the episodes this month with a great expectation of the new dawn. It will come and you have to be expectant.

God is also showing you Mercy today if you want to come out of darkness.

Please, say after me: 

Lord Jesus, thank you for your word to me this day. I realize I have been in the dark for too long. Please, bring me out of darkness into your light. Forgive me and make my salvation genuine and intentional. Thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen.
