TND - BEFORE THE BREAK OF DAWN 2

 Dear Believer,

It's my sincere prayer that you'll soon shout for Joy because the dawn is almost here.

Every stubborn situation you're concerned about is being attended to today and no more will you wrestle and fail.

Once more, if you have been praying & change is not forthcoming, this episode is especially for you, read and reread with great hope. God bless you.

Jesus speaking with the Bethesda man.

I dislike queuing a lot but on a certain day, I had to; to purchase a school book.

At some point, I got tired and went to sit. When I returned, I couldn't recognize the person who was in front of me so, I had to queue again. I was frustrated already and considered going back to my hostel when a man randomly touched me and gave me number one.

I was lost, "Why was he giving those numbers? Which work was he going to ask us to do?"

I and some other people, that also got a number, followed him to a more distant place and we appeared before a man; about 10 of us.

Would you believe if I told you I was in front of another man as number one to purchase what I had queued all day for?

The man of Bethesda must have smiled sadly when Jesus spotted him amongst everyone and offered to heal him asking him some random questions.

He must have thought Jesus to be a joker man or something. The only way he knew he could be healed was to get into the pool fast yet, he had never been successful.

I want to assume he was 20 when he got there. He probably was around 60 at that time. Even if he got there a baby, he had spent too many years there. His answer to Jesus' question showed his grief (John 5:7).

Last week, we learned that we needed to wrestle for the break of dawn but the Bethesda man is a proof that sometimes, we may wrestle for the new dawn and wear out in strength, yet not get it.

We may stay at it for years and it may not come forth. Sarah definitely was in this category. When she grew tired of wrestling for a child, she asked her husband to have her maid.

There's something quite peculiar about the Bethesda man and it'd be great if you paid much attention.

The man of Bethesda had wrestled all his life to enter into a new dawn of healing, but his efforts were futile. He tried & failed 38 years.

But one day, he broke into his new dawn in a rather seamless way I'd say.

There's a great privilege that can cause this to happen. It is called Mercy.

I personally envy this Bethesda man because he's one person that broke and launched into the new dawn through the reins of mercy.

No wonder blind Bartimaeus had to cry for Mercy when Jesus was in his neighborhood. He must have tried wrestling for his sight but failed, too.

While we have to wrestle, there are things we may have been wrestling for for way too long. It now seems as though we're not doing enough and probably, we're on the verge of tiredness hoping that one day, we may or may not breakthrough.

I implore you to plead for mercy concerning it(them) and see God do the unexpected for you.

The Bethesda encounter can be your testimony too.

John 5:5 - He was tired and obviously looked hopeless.

John 5:6 Mercy had a random convo with him.

John 5:7 - He confessed he had tried and failed for 38 years.

John 5:8-9 - He walked into the new dawn of healing.

I'll be praying for you in my little corner and I trust God to take care of your requests.

Dear Believer, your testimony is near and the dawn is nearer than you ever imagined. God bless you and see you next week.

Suggested activity: Reread John 5:5-9 and pray for Mercy seriously.
