PERFECT LOVE PT 2 - LWY EP 7

Have you ever tried convincing someone about a product you have never used or stopped using for a long time?
You must have felt a little bit guilty if I'm correct.

This episode talks about God's perfect Love for believers and if you're that one who's not sure of God's Love for him/her, this episode is for YOU.

 Last week, we talked about the Perfect Love that casts out fear and works in us perfection as believers.

But, it is quite sad that many believers have not experienced this Love or have stopped experiencing Him - Love. 

Many of us tell people about God's Love, we reassure people that God Loves them even in their despicable states but we don't experience what we proclaim anymore.

Love cannot manage with a contrary spirit in a room. That's why for Love to be in you, first, it casts out the fear in you. 

You cannot feel God's Love if you fail to let go of every hindrance. 

You cannot feel God's love if you fail to forgive yourself and accept your identity in Christ. 

I found it hard to believe God completely erased my wrongdoings just like that. I wondered how that was even possible and accepted that the punishment for my sins would be a lack of His Love and as far as I make heaven, I was ready to cope.

I bore the guilt for long even though I had accepted him as my Lord and Saviour.

Until one day, my Uncle shared a thread on 2 Corinthians 5:17 on his status and tears filled my eyes. 

I knew this verse by heart and had recited it countless times but that was the first time I read that verse meditatively and the words came alive to me.

I realized how much I had cheated myself of God's love because I was holding on to some past wrongs He had forgotten. 

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

Dear believer, the past is in the past. You have been given a clean slate to start a new life. There's no condemnation for you again [Rom. 8:1-2].

 God who loved you while you were a sinner will not stop loving you or even less when you're now His own.

 God's Love is so immense but you will never know it until you let go of every heartbreak, pain, insecurity that you have and allow God's love to do the healing. 

See yourself as loved and let God's Love do the needful in you.

Let us pray:

Father, thank you for every saved soul reading this now. Thank you for your Love that covered their sins. 

Lord, please, let your Love shine through their hearts and rid them of any hurt and guilt they still carry.

Lord, please, let them experience your Love afresh and help them to walk in the reality of what Love is. Amen. 

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

You are loved and not despised. 

You're in God but not forsaken.

The past is in the past. Let it stay there!
